The Tern is a round coffee table, 90 cm across and 36 cm high. It sits between a sofa and two chairs, so everyone can reach it. A round top has no corners to catch a knee or a child's head.
The top is solid oak, 55 mm thick, glued from boards, cut to a circle and sanded by hand. Three legs lean outward at 12 degrees and screw into steel plates under the top, so the table stands firm on three legs. It weighs 28 kg.
The white oil keeps the oak pale and leaves the grain open to touch. Wipe spills within a few minutes and use a coaster under cups. We send a 100 ml tin of care oil with the table.
