How returns work

How returns work

How returns work

  • You have 30 days from the day your piece arrives to return it.

  • The piece must be unused and in its packaging. Collection costs €60 in Denmark and €120 elsewhere in Europe, and is free if the piece arrived damaged or faulty. Outside Europe, we agree the cost with you before we collect.

  • We refund the full price within 7 days of the piece reaching our workshop. Email hello@atelier.example with your order number to start a return.

Delivery

How long does delivery take?

Most pieces arrive 3 to 5 weeks after you order, because we make each one to order. That covers Denmark, Germany, Benelux, Sweden and Finland. The rest of Europe takes 4 to 6 weeks, and Australia and Canada take 8 to 10 weeks by sea. We email you when your piece leaves the workshop.

Will you carry the piece into my home?

In Denmark and the rest of Europe, two people carry your piece into the room you choose and take the packaging away. If your building has no lift above the second floor, write that in the order note so we can plan. Outside Europe, delivery is to your door and we confirm the details with you.

Can I choose the day of delivery?

We call you 7 days before delivery to agree a day. You can choose any weekday, and we give you a 2-hour window on the day. If you need to change the date, tell us at least 3 days before.

How do I return a piece?

Email hello@atelier.example with your order number within 30 days of delivery. We book a collection, which costs €60 in Denmark and €120 elsewhere in Europe. When the piece reaches our workshop and we have checked it, we refund the full price within 7 days.

What if my piece arrives damaged?

Take photos and email us within 7 days of delivery. We collect the piece for free and send a replacement or refund the full price, as you choose. A replacement takes 3 to 5 weeks.

How do I look after an oiled oak table?

Wipe spills within a few minutes with a damp cloth, and use mats under hot dishes. Once a year, sand lightly along the grain and wipe on a thin coat of oil. We send a 100 ml tin of care oil with every oak piece.

Can I take the covers off to wash them?

No. The covers on the Hollen sofa and the Lund armchair are sewn on, which gives a smooth fit. Vacuum them each week with a soft brush and blot spills with a clean, damp cloth. For deep stains, use a professional upholsterer, or ask us for a quote to re-cover the piece.

Where does your wood come from?

Our oak and ash come from managed forests in Denmark and Sweden, and our walnut comes from Germany. The sawmill tells us the forest for each batch, and we keep that record with the batch number. Every piece has its number written inside, so we can trace it.

Trade

Trade

Do you offer trade prices?

Yes. Interior designers, architects and shops get 15% off the list price on every order, and 20% on orders over €10,000. Send the trade enquiry form with your business details. We reply within 2 working days.

Can I order samples for a client?

Yes. A sample box holds 3 oak and ash finishes, 4 textile swatches and 2 glaze tiles. It costs €20, which we take off your first order, and trade accounts receive the first box free. Boxes arrive in 5 working days.
