The Vik is a bench with a slatted seat, 140 cm long, 38 cm deep and 45 cm high. It seats two adults side by side, or it holds a row of shoes by the front door.
The seat is six slats of solid oak, each 50 mm wide and 30 mm thick, with 16 mm gaps between them. Water and dust fall through the gaps, so wet shoes dry and the seat stays clean. The legs are oak blocks, joined to the seat rails with glued and pegged joints. The bench weighs 8 kg.
At 45 cm high, the Vik fits under the Brink dining table, which is 74 cm high, and seats two people on one long side. In a hall, it gives you a place to sit while you put on your shoes.
